How to Organize Wreath Making Supplies for a Wreath Making Business
Step One: Prep Your Work Room
Clean out everything you can that does not belong to make room for working space and wreath making supplies.
Step Two: Plan Work Zones
There were three work zone areas I wanted in my workshop:
- Wreath Making Supplies – florals, wreaths, and ribbons
- Creation Station – a place to make orders
- Shipping Station – a place to pack orders plus storage for boxes and shipping supplies
Step Three: Set Up the Work Zones
Let’s start with Organizing the Wreath Making Supplies.
All the florals are sorted my type and color on a DIY Floral Wall my son helped me install. It was a simple and inexpensive way to organize all the greenery and flowers I have for making wreaths. You can see all the details are {HERE}!
Ribbons are also very important for a wreath making business. Having them on display increases creativy and decreases over spending!
These metal shoe racks are perfect for storing and displaying my collection. They can be purchased on Amazon but also check your local online marketplace to see if you can find them.
The Creation Station is really were all the magic happens!
It’s simply two plastic folding tables arranged in a “L” shape that holds the tools needed for wreath making. Adjustable bed risers are perfect for bringing the tables to the correct height for working.
My must have wreath making tools are:
- Hot Glue Skillet
- E-Z Bow Maker
- Wire Cutters
- Non-stick Craft Mat
- Wooden Easel (mine is from a child’s art kit with a 5 pound weight on the bottom)
Extra wreath making supplies are stored underneath in clear plastic containers. Those clear containers allow me to see exactly what’s in there.
The other table is for staging supplies for future wreaths and bow making. My favorite way to make bow is with an E-Z Bow Maker!
A dedicated Shipping Station makes boxing orders a breeze!
This area has another folding table, metal shelves for holding flat cardboard boxes, and large tubs filled with packing materials.
My favorite shipping/packing tools are:
