A couple of weeks ago, I met a few friends of mine for Ladies’ Night at the new paint your own pottery place here in town. After a little painting, some munchies, and a bottle glass of wine this little guy came home with me. Hello little blue crab! Seriously. Painting with my girlfriends was so much fun. Vignettes are all “the thing ” on DIY decorating blogs. Basically that’s a fancy word for creating a small scene with objects to tell a story. It encourages you to be thoughtful in your choosing and placement. Unfortunately for the past nine years most of our table tops have been barren of anything that might resemble a vignette. No picture frames, precious collectibles, or flowers.
