From watching over the house during our summer vacation to chasing our dog down the street, our neighbors have been fabulous throughout the year. During the holidays we love to repay their kindness by baking up goodness to share.
This Christmas we are Spreading Holiday Cheer to all of them by gifting Easy Banana Bread made with MIRACLE WHIP!
Easy Banana Bread with MIRACLE WHIP
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup MIRACLE WHIP dressing
- 1 1/2 cup mashed bananas {fully ripe}
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
I love that this easy banana bread recipe uses simple ingredients that are staples in our fridge and pantry. But just in case you run out of MIRACLE WHIP it can be found at your local Walmart on the condiments aisle near the salad dressings.
Before mixing the banana bread batter, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prep a 5 x 9 loaf pan by coating it with cooking spray.
Next mix the egg, MIRACLE WHIP, and mashed bananas until combined. KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP is a great go-to ingredient for our everyday and holiday recipes.
Mix together all dry ingredients then gradually add to banana mixture. Combine all ingredients until just moistened.
Pour into a 5 x 9 loaf pan. Bake 1 hour or until it passes the toothpick in the middle test. Cool in pan for 10 minutes then remove to cool completely on a wire rack.
As soon as the banana bread cooled the children and I couldn’t resist slicing off a few pieces for an afternoon snack. KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP adds wonderful moisture and flavor to the banana bread. #TasteTheMiracle
Before the children could gobble up the rest of the bread, I tucked it away to have with my morning coffee. I love my quiet mornings sipping coffee and nibbling a bit of breakfast before I wake up all three sleepy heads. Some days I feel that is the only quiet time I get.
We baked several loaves to share with our neighbors. Tie on a festive, candy cane bow and this easy banana bread is a perfect gift!
Many of our neighbors are having family during the holidays. The banana bread will make an easy snack or a simple breakfast as they entertain their guests.

I have some over ripe bananas that I need to use up. Thanks for the recipe.
You are welcome! Hope you enjoy!

Love it – although I’m not sure how you resisted not making a double batch. I feel like every time I make banana bread I do a double batch to the point where my typical recipe now is a two loaf version. Yum!
I should have made a double batch of banana bread. That way I wouldn’t have to hid it from my children!
