If you are in need of a fabulous football watching or tailgating food search no more. Spicy Rosemary Cashews are just what you have been looking for.
The original recipe for these spicy, sweet nuts is from one of my favorite on-air chefs, Ina Garten. I love watching her cook fabulous dinners for her love Jeffery.
My sweet friend Brooke introduced Honey and I to this recipe last spring at a tailgating party. I have been making them ever since.
But much to Honey’s chagrin I never, ever make the same recipe twice. Lucky for him, my mistake of doubling the butter plus spices mix made this crunchy treat even better. This post contains affiliate links for your shopping convenience. Click here to read my complete disclosure.
Spicy Rosemary Cashews Snack Recipe: Ingredients
1 1/4 pounds of roasted cashews
4 tablespoons of fresh rosemary, coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon of cayenne
4 teaspoons of dark brown sugar
4 teaspoons of kosher salt
2 tablespoons of melted butter
Spicy Rosemary Cashews Snack: Instructions
Heat cashews in a 375 degree oven for 10 minutes in a large metal pan.
Melt butter in the microwave then add rosemary and spices.
Add butter/spices mixture immediately to the hot nuts. Mixing the nuts and spices while they are still hot will help everything get an even coating.
As the nuts cool a slight crunchy spicy sweet coating forms on the outside.
See all that brown sugar goodness? That is all the extra yumminess added when you double up on the butter and spices. So good!
Our family loves this nut recipe so much that we added them to popcorn! {Click here} to get this awesome snack mix recipe.
