So I am all about simple, budget friendly desserts that tastes as good as they look.
Instead spending money and time worrying over a made from scratch pumpkin pie, I headed straight to the Holiday Baking Center at Walmart to choose quick and easy items to make my Pumpkin Pie Trifle. Having all of the baking goodies are gathered in one spot makes shopping for Thanksgiving so easy!
Pumpkin Pie Trifle ~ Ingredients
- Two JELL-O Pumpkin Spice Flavor Instant Puddings
- Two JELL-O Vanilla Instant Puddings – 5.1oz.
- Premade Pound Cake – cut into bite size pieces
- One Container of Whipped Topping
- KRAFT Caramel Bits – 11oz.
Begin the trifle by making each pudding following package instructions. These will need to set up in the refrigerator while you cube the pre-made pound cake into bite size pieces.
Once the puddings are ready making this easy Thanksgiving dessert is as simple as 1, 2, 3!
Step One ~ Add a Layer Bite-Sized Pieces of Pound Cake in the Bottom of the Dish
Step Two ~ Add a Layer of each Pudding then Whipped Topping
Step Three ~ Top with a Sprinkle of Caramel Bits
The Pumpkin Pie Trifle can be made in a large trifle dish or served as individual desserts. It’s a great dessert for a family potluck gathering or a fancy sit down dinner.
Vanilla pudding has always been a favorite. Now we are adding the Kraft’s Pudding Spice Pudding to our “most loved” list. It tastes just like homemade pumpkin pie!
Our family loved the creamy little Caramel Bits so much that I added a small dish of them to the table. That way we could add as many yummy little pieces as we liked!

Individual desserts are so fun to make and everyone loves feeling it was specially made for them. Our family loved this pumpkin pie trifle for Sunday afternoon dessert!
This looks delish. I’ve been wondering about that flavor Jello pudding. Good to hear an opinion.
