Fish Tacos were never on our recipe radar until just a few years ago. Honestly, Honey and I had never heard of them until one of our friends began to rave about how awesome they were.
But now? Grilled Fish Tacos are one of our go to recipes for a quick weeknight dinner. With the help of Gourmet Grillware taco night just got easier!
This Fish Griller is perfect for grilling fish {and tons of other things}! It’s like using cast iron but this stuff won’t rust and needs no special care other than hand washing.
A couple of weeks ago, Honey returned from a fishing trip off the coast of Charleston. He brought back with him pounds of just caught Red Vermillion Snapper, Wahoo, and Black Fin Tuna. Wahoo is a very mild flavored, flaky, white fish. Perfect for making grilled fish tacos!
The fish were rough cut {quickly filleted} right after docking. Then Honey cut the fillets into smaller pieces for easy grilling.
Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Seafood Magic Seasoning is a wonderful way to add flavor to any seafood dish. We coated both sides of the fillets generously.
The Gourmet Grillware Fish Griller was placed directly on the grill to preheat until it was screaming hot.
To prevent the fish from sticking, the piece was coated with Canola Spray. Each side was grilled for approximately 5 minutes. Love those pretty grill marks!
Not only is the griller great for grilling, it is also perfect for a family who loves to camp. My brother’s family would love to have a dish such as this to cook their dinners over a campfire.
The yummy grilled fillets we place on a soft flour tortilla. We love to add crunchy chopped red cabbage, shredded cheddar, Herdez salsa, and homemade Zesty Fish Taco Sauce on top.
The yogurt/mayonnaise based Zesty Fish Taco Sauce makes the dish! Trust me.
Don’t worry I won’t keep all this goodness to myself. I’ll share that recipe with you later in the week. 😉
Not only was cooking with the Gourmet Grillware Fish Griller easy, the clean up was a snap! Thanks to the light spray of Canola prior to grilling just a quick clean with dish soap and hot water was all it took. Please keep in mind these pieces are not dish washer safe.
Honey was very happy with the performance of the griller. The dish heated evenly and did a great job of cooking the fish. Once off the grill the griller kept the fish warm while I finished up dinner.

I love fish tacos and they were a fairly recent addition for me too. I am looking forward to your sauce recipe though…last time I made mine I didn’t like what I did to the sauce.

We had THE BEST fish tacos EVER on our vacation last summer on Amelia Island at Timoti’s Seafood Shack. Ever since then, we’ve been craving them and this griller would definitely make it possible to try to recreate our vacation (because vacation is all about the food, right?!) 🙂 Thank you for hosting this giveaway!
