I know you are wondering why in the world am I posting about an easy Easter treat when we haven’t even made it past Valentine’s Day yet.
It all started last year when Tootsie (our five year old daughter) was in preschool. I wanted to make a fun snack for her to share with her class for Valentine’s Day. Since her teacher’s classroom theme was frogs these Easter treats were a perfect fit!

An Easy Easter Treat ~ Supplies Needed
- Large Recipe of Rice Cereal Crispy Treats
- Mickey Mouse Sandwich – Cookie Cutter*
- Two containers of White Icing
- Green and Yellow Food Coloring
- Resealable Plastic Baggie
- Candy Eyes for Decorating*
- Offset Icing Spatula*
Begin these Froggy shaped Easter treats with a large batch of rice crispy cereal and marshmallow bars. Spread the warm mixture on a large cookie sheet and let it cool completely.
Our Mickey Mouse Sandwich – Cookie Cutter* came from The Happiest Place on Earth itself: Disney World! It was one souvenir that I sought out during our trip and I’m so happy I did. We use it all the time to make fun lunchbox sandwiches and it makes the perfect little Froggy faces. If you can’t make it to Disney World then {go here*} to order one for yourself!
Next add a small amount of green food coloring to a container of white icing. Mix until you have achieved the desired color of bright spring green.
Use an offset spatula* to add green icing to the frog shaped treats. This is one of my favorite kitchen tools that we use all the time.
Open the second container of white icing. Scoop out about two tablespoons of white icing into a resealable plastic bag. This baggie will become a homemade icing bag and will allow you to add small circles of white icing for the eyes.
Add candy eyes* to the white icing circles to finish the frog’s eyes.
To finish the frog treat mix together a small amount of white icing with yellow food coloring. Add the yellow icing to another resealable baggie and use to give each easy Easter treat a smile.
These easy Easter treats are perfect for snacks for Easter parties or school celebrations.
It was so much fun to take these for our daughter’s preschool class! She was so proud and the children loved them.
