Assorted Tea Bags ~ our favorite varieties
Tea Party Sandwiches
Creamy Dill Dip with Veggies
Every tea party menu must start with tea in fancy cups. Our five year old was so excited to drink from our wedding china. Hosting a tea party is a wonderful excuse to bring out all the delicate dishes you own.
I loved having a reason to wash off the dust and set the table with these fabulous pieces. {Click here} to see our wedding china pattern.
Easy Tea Sandwiches
Cucumber Sandwiches
Tuna Salad Sandwiches
Pimento Cheese Sandwiches
A variety of three easy tea sandwiches are perfect for a simple Mother’s Day tea menu. Both the tuna salad and pimento cheese were bought premade from my favorite local grocery store. Add each to white and rye bread then cut into bite sized pieces.
Growing up my mother always made cucumber sandwiches for bridal and baby showers. That makes cucumber sandwiches my favorite. This tea sandwich recipe is just softened cream cheese layered with thinly sliced cucumber.
Pair creamy, homemade dill dip with fresh veggies to add a little bit of color to the Mother’s Day luncheon menu. There is a great story behind this dip recipe! You can get the recipe and the history behind it by {clicking here}.
Dainty lemon tea cake cookies finish up the menu. You won’t believe how light and fluffy these delicious cookies are! {Click here} for the old Southern tea cake recipe.
I’m hoping this easy tea party menu has inspired you to host a celebration of your own this Mother’s Day!
