Party Tips for Setting a Football Party Tablescape
Step One: Add pattern with a unique table runner
Begin with a foundation of a solid color tablecloth then add pattern with a wrapping paper table runner. I loved this orange polka dot paper and it adds a great pop of color on top of the navy tablecloth!
Step Two: Use versatile white dishes
Thrift stores are a fabulous place for building your collection.
Step Three: Add height to serving pieces with upturned bowls.
Step Four: Add fun football party decor
Punch up the party theme with a DIY Football Door Hanger. The Football Centerpiece was on our front door but I moved it to the table right before the party.
Party Tips for Planning Football Party Food
Every party menu needs four things ~
- A Savory Dish {Meatball Pizza Bake Recipe}
- A little bit of Salty {Sweet and Spicy Rosemary Popcorn is so yummy!}
- Something for everyone’s Sweet Tooth
- Refreshing beverages like Coke Zero and Classic Coca-Cola
Once the table is set it’s time to head to our local Walmart to pick up all the ingredients for the football party food. Classic RITZ® crackers are a must!

This Black Olive Blue Cheese Ball recipe is one of my favorites!
My mother has made it for every Christmas Eve and other special occasions for years. It’s creamy, tangy goodness is so fabulous on top of a RITZ® cracker.
Football Party Food ~ Black Olive Blue Cheese Ball Recipe
4 8oz. packages of cream cheese, softened
9 oz. container of blue cheese crumbles
1-2 teaspoons of hot sauce (add to your taste)
6.5 oz. can of sliced black olives
6 oz. package of pecans, chopped
chopped chives
Step One: Cream first four ingredients
Cream together cream cheese, blue cheese crumbles, hot sauce, and black olives together using a stand mixer or by hand.
Step Two: Chill Mixture
Chill cheese ball mixture in the refrigerator for one hour. Chilling the mixture will allow make handling the cheese ball easier.
Step Three: Form into Balls
This recipe creates a large amount of cheese ball and can be formed into one large serving or a dozen individual balls. A one inch cookie scoop makes perfectly sized mini cheese balls.
Step Four: Roll in Pecans or Chives
Roll cheese balls in chopped pecans or chopped chives. Chill until ready to serve.
Don’t forget to use your slow cooker to make party planning easier!
