DIY Fondue Sticks
- crepe paper streamers*
- long wooden skewers*
- invisible tape
Begin by cutting a 4″-6″ length of crepe paper streamer. Use scissors to fringe one side of the streamer. Be careful not to cut all the way through the strip.
Use a small piece of invisible tape to secure one end of the fringed streamer to the top of the wooden skewer. Carefully wrap the skewer with the streamer then secure the end of the streamer with another small piece of tape.
Add another 4″ – 6″ piece of fringed streamer directly under the first one in a coordinating color. Give all the little fringes a fluff and viola! A fun and festive DIY Fondue Stick!
We loved using these DIY fondue sticks at our Slam Dunk Basketball Party! The children used them to dip a variety of foods into the two ingredient chocolate fondue I whipped up.
They loved seeing just how much chocolate they could get onto their pieces of fruit. Of course, the marshmallows were their favorite!
At our “We Heart Art!” Valentine Party these colorful frilly DIY fondue sticks served as kabobs sticks for our Make Your Own Fruit Kabob Bar.
