Since both of our boys have birthdays only one week apart, we have always combined their parties into one. Doing this has saved our family time, money, and (most importantly) stress!
But as the boys have grown older they have begun to want to do their own thing. Having two separate birthday parties would make for one sad and stressed out mama. So I started to scheme of a way to convince them into once again combining the celebrations into one!
I hit the jackpot when I came up with the Backyard Campout Theme! Then I sealed the deal when I said they could actually have a sleepover in the backyard! {I secretly hate sleepovers ~ must be a teacher thing!}
Off to Pinterest I went to find inspiration!
Every party has to start with an awesome invitation!
Purple Trail has a ton of customizable announcements and invitations from which to choose. The boys really like the “Backyard Sleepover” one!

Party food should be a snap! I mean… what else do you eat at a campout besides hotdogs, chips, and s’mores?
