Our three year’s daughter bedroom makeover is almost complete. Thank goodness!
There was just one long wall was begging to be filled. It was the perfect spot for a DIY Dress Up Station full of storage for princess gowns and a Magic Mirror!
The entire wall is filled with upcycled pieces, hand me downs, and “use what you got” items.
Here’s the breakdown of each piece used on the DIY Dress Up Station:
1. Upcycled Cork board
This small cork board was covered in footballs. But a little Krylon “Ballet Slipper” spray paint for the frame and a fabric remnant for the middle transformed it into a spot for Tootsie’s preschool artwork.
2. Princess Gown Storage
A teeny baby clothes hamper makes great storage for all those extra princess gowns, crowns, and jewelry. This upcycled hamper was in Tootsie’s nursery. I love that fits right in with her new decor!
3. Butterfly Print
Also from Tootsie’s nursery. Thank goodness for FREE artwork!
4. DIY Washi Tape Words
Why pay for vinyl decals when you can make them on your own? Tutorial coming soon. Promise!
5. Rag Wreath
Another DIY project reused in another area in our house. This Rag Wreath was originally for a Valentine’s Party I hosted but works perfectly with this color scheme.
6. The Magic Mirror
Yes, Tootsie calls it her “Magic Mirror”.
Most afternoons you can find her all dolled up in one of her princess gowns talking to herself in front of it.
The mirror was originally attached to Big Boy’s dresser. One coat of Homemade Chalk Paint and… Magic Mirror!
Please ignore the mama with the iPhone!
7. Butterfly Shelf
Thank goodness of a good friend who was cleaning out her storage building. She was happy to share her daughter’s sweet butterfly shelf with Tootsie.
8. Washi Tape Dress Up Wall
Using colorful washi tape to create a frame for more princess gown storage is super simple! Hop over to Beauty Through Imperfection to see the tutorial!
Hopefully the entire room will be ready for it’s grand reveal next week! Thank you so much for following me through this process of making our sweet girl’s bedroom a space that she loves!
