Welcome to 2016!
January is always an exciting month for me. The hustle and bustle of Christmas is over leaving our home a little bit fresher after all the decorations have been tucked away. The new year also marks my three year anniversary as a blogger.
This blog is a place where I truly do make my own happy one DIY at a time! Every project, party, and recipe really is what we are living in our real life. Creating and sharing with all of you is a huge total joy for me.
Thanks to my first ever viral post there are many of you who are just now following along. You guys may have missed some of my favorite projects from this year!
Before I begin this year in review, I want to thank each of you from the bottom on my little bloggy heart for following me along on this journey. Without all of you reading, pinning, and commenting on my posts I wouldn’t have made it this far. {{BIG hugs}} to all of you!
Now let’s check out about all the home decor, crafting, and party planning craziness I’ve shared throughout 2015! Please make sure to click over to the original post and pin from there!
~ DIY Home Decor ~
The most confused room in our home got a stiffy new look this year! It went from being a holding room for all sorts of stuff to a useable space that is perfect for catching up on a good book or finishing a blog post.
I updated the entire room on a budget. That meant using items we already had on hand like these antique milk glass lamps my sister-in-law shared with me. A quick snip with scissors and a little bit of navy spray paint gave the lamps a brand new look!

With a super tight budget there was no way I could spend lots of money on window treatments and curtain rods. So I came up with an amazing solution using items I already had on hand. You will never guess what item I used to make the finials!

Our kitchen sink got a mini-makeover last spring thanks to a 5 Simple Steps. Lots of you loved the framed handprint art I decorated the space with!
