Hey, y’all! Welcome to our Southern Fall Home Tour!
If you are looking for fall decor inspiration I’ve got a treat for you! Today I am joining with over 35 fabulous Home Decor Bloggers to show off our Autumn Welcome Fall Home Tours.
Hold on to your pumpkin flavored coffee because our home is not a pristine, monochromatic oasis. It is a vibrant, happy place filled with color. Fall is no exception!
Let’s start with my fabulously red front door. It makes me smile everyday and I love creating decor for it. My Branch Basket Wreath was a “snap” to create. An arm load of sticks gathered from the yard, an empty box, and a bunch of bright flowers from the craft store was all it took to make this front door decor.
The lines of the sticks and moss gives such great texture to the basket. The little yellow blossoms pop against the red!
The front porch is also a wonderful place for our children to settle in with a good book.
Once inside the front door there is small antique dry sink that was given to me by my mother. The arched mirror is from my childhood bedroom set. It was a happy accident both pieces are a perfect match.
My favorite piece on this little table is the artwork I created from Persia Lou’s Free Watercolor Feathers. The colors and details are fantastic!
A silver dish full of shells always connects us with our beloved beach vacations on the South Carolina coast.
There’s a whole lot more going on with this little table. I’ll make sure to share all the details in a later post.
Our living room mantel displays a few of my most loved treasures. The two red barn paintings from my grandmother were the inspiration for the entire vignette.
Red metal houses from last year’s Christmas line a Target get a touch of season with orange chevron and a turning leaf. {Click here} to see all the other treasures I snagged at the after Christmas sale last year.
Little Mr. Nutkin Squirrel is another piece from my grandmother’s kitchen. I’m constantly on the look out for more woodland creatures to join him.
Let’s continue the Fall Home Tour into the kitchen where I have dressed up my favorite piece of all. It’s my $35 Kitchen Hutch.
Gosh, I love this thing! It fills up the awkward space in my kitchen and is so much fun to decorate as the seasons change.
Tucked in between the books and glassware are photographs of the boys when they were little. I vividly remember that fall day when those sweet babies smiled for the camera and chased blowing leaves. It warms my heart to remember the weight of them in my arms.
Above the boys’ pictures is a sweet free printable of a favorite fall quote from Craftberry Bush. {Click here} for your free printable.
A few books and one of Honey’s cigar boxes wrapped in scrapbook paper is a simple way to add more pattern and color to your fall decor. Below them a glossy green ceramic cabbage peeks out.
Notice the lovely fabric roses on the wreath? It’s the sister of the mantel wreath. You’d never guess they came from my grandmother’s linen pant suit. I’ve got to do a post about that soon!
I hope your enjoyed my Fall Home Tour! It was so much fun decorating for all my friends to see how I added colorful pieces to welcome the cooler weather and the new season.
Please continue your Fall Home Touring by visiting all the fabulous ladies below!
