The paint in the dining room is up on the walls. We ditched the dark brown and beige for a light blue. I picked up a gallon of Martha Stewart’s “Enamelware” and supplies from Home Depot. I love it!
See that big brass chandy hanging in the middle of the room? Well, I’ve seen tons of chandy re-do’s on Pinterest. From covering the entire thing with wooden beads to spray painting in as it hangs in the dining room. Honey would kill me dead if I tried either of those. Especially spray painting it black while it hangs from the ceiling.
So I decided to gussy it up with a little bit of patterned scrapbook paper.
Who knew the ‘candles’ are just plastic sleeves you can easily slide off? Just wrap the patterned paper around the sleeves to give a little visual interest.
Another piece of the dining room puzzle that got a new cover was the inside of the china cabinet. It is a beautiful piece and I am thrilled to have it. But it was too dark.
Nothing that a little wrapping paper can’t handle. Simple scotch tape was used to attached the paper to the back of the cabinet. I love how the baby blue stripe almost blends into the new paint color.
Here’s a peek to the finished room.
Only a few projects left to a brand new dining room!
