Our Thanksgiving Table 2014

Spread the love

Welcome to our Thanksgiving Table! It’s all prettied up with traditional dishes, colorful fall touches, and a handmade branch basket. Come on in and let me show you around!

Come be the guest of honor at our Thanksgiving Table

Truth be told, our dining room will be a quite place on Thanksgiving Day.

Like most families, we will spend the holiday traveling between three different celebrations. But the fact that we won’t be home doesn’t stop me from decorating our Thanksgiving table.

Let’s start our around the table by introducing the meal’s guest of honor: Mr. Turkey. Lucky for me, my sister-in-law graciously loaned me her entire collection of Thanksgiving china.

Setting a pretty table is all about layering patterns and textures. My favorite green and white houndstooth table runner provides the perfect spot for highlighting the DIY Branch Basket Centerpiece.

The box is covered with backyard twigs, bark, and moss. It’s unsophicated exterior balances the sparkly shine of the china.

This rustic centerpiece was inspired by the Fall Branch Basket Wreath.  A complete tutorial is coming soon.

Placed bits of fall color around the table livens it up. Tucked inside the branch basket centerpiece are painted pinecones and burnt orange hydrangeas. They add a colorful focal point between the turkey salt and pepper shakers and ceramic pumpkins on the table.

The fall theme is echoed on the Thanksgiving placemats. Simple felt leaves paired with sparkly jewels add a special touch to plain woven placemats.

I can’t wait to share the simple tutorial for updating these Thrift Store placemats. Just give me a few days and I will tell you all steps on My Crafty Spot.

Across the dining room is the children’s favorite spot. It’s a small dessert table just waiting for a pumpkin pie.

Mr. Turkey looks as if he is daring anyone to get more than one slice. The boys better watch out!

Gobble-Gobble and Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you’ve been inspired!
