Simple tutorial for how to make a Valentine’s Day tree decorated with pompoms and DIY felt ornaments. Such a fun Valentine decorating idea!
Ever since I picked up this handsome, green guy during the after Christmas sales, he was just croaking begging to be used in my Valentine decor. So Froggy Prince got his own Valentine Tree!
He looks so cute hanging among the bright red hearts and pompoms!
This easy Valentine tabletop tree came together quickly. Remarkably, I was able to finish it while Tootsie was at preschool! That’s three hours of all alone quiet mama time. Sigh.
How to Make a Valentine’s Day Tree
Little Boy was home sick so (being the good mama I am) I sent him outside to collect sticks. 😉
The container was too light to hold the sticks so a layer of rice was added to the bottom to give it a little weight. Then Little Boy helped me to trim a piece of florist foam to poke the sticks into. I secured the sticks exactly where I wanted them with a glob of hot glue.
Drab, brown branches were brightened up with my trusty Krylon Glossy White spray paint.
A candy cane striped ribbon and plastic tablecloths pompoms from Tootsie’s Sofia the First Birthday Party hide the top of the container.
Froggy’s Valentine Tree looks so sweet with my $2 Heart Shaped Wreath. I just might have to make another wreath just for the dining room hutch.
The Froggy Prince is perfect addition to my dining room table!

So glad you like it! I was a bit worried at first. But after I painted the branches white and started hanging on hearts, pompoms, and Froggy it does look super cute!
