During the holidays my main job title is Chief Memory Maker for the Littles. Thanks to the Hallmark’s Northpole Communicator, that just at a lot more fun!
Once December rolls around, our children cannot wait until I put up our Christmas Countdown Santa. This is a huge felt Santa that I transformed into an Advent Calendar by adding felt pockets with cutesy embellishments on Santa’s beard.
Here is our Christmas Countdown Santa from last year. Each little pocket was filled with a simple, family friendly event that is guaranteed to make tons of memories.
Each year I brainstorm a list of daily activities that are fun and simple for our family to complete. A few of the children’s favorite activities from last year are:
- Our hometown tree lighting ceremony
- Creating homemade gifts for family
- Baking a birthday cake for baby Jesus
Here’s the complete list of Almost Free Christmas Countdown Activities.
This year we are adding the Hallmark Northpole Communicator to our daily Christmas Countdown Fun.
This fun toy will let your family talk to different people at the North Pole (including Santa!) to get updates from December 1st through Christmas. Your children can have a new chat every day with Santa and his helpers! How fun is that?
Tootsie is already in love with listening to the cheery voice reminding her to check back with the North Pole in December.
She couldn’t resist telling the toy exactly what she wants for Christmas. I believe I heard “my very own computer and another Elsa doll”.
The Hallmark Northpole Communicator and the Hallmark Book and Beacon can be found at your local Walmart. These items from Hallmark are exclusive to Walmart and will be launching in stores on November 1st!
There’s also an accompanying book that I can’t wait to share with the children. Nothing beats cuddle time with my littles and a great storybook.

We loved it this year and plan on getting a cartridge next year. My girl does her homework in record time, and it’s all been correct. Just to get to talk to Santa or an elf for the day. Thank you for the joy “we get ” and she gets out of the communicator.
