Coffee Filter Snowflake Ornaments ~ Supplies Needed
- Coffee Filters
- Plastic Snowflake Ornaments*
- Stapler
- Hot Glue
- Baker’s Twine*
Start these inexpensive holiday ornaments by folding eight coffee filters into fourths. Press the center of the coffee filters down but keep the crinkly party fluffy.
Grab four of the folded coffee filters and fan them out evenly to make a semicircle. Secure with a staple together close to the center. Now created another semicircle of folded coffee filters for the other half of the snowflake ornament.
Connect the two pieces with a small line of hot glue.
Next gently flatten out another coffee filter. Add a circle of hot glue inside the flattened coffee filter then place the first piece in the center. This step will add extra fluffiness to the ornament and finish the back. If you don’t get it exactly centered simply trim the edges of the back coffee filter.
One more dot of hot glue and center the plastic snowflake ornament inside the coffee filters. A glass dessert bowl makes an awesome weight until the glue dries completely.
A lope of baker’s twine on the back makes the perfect hanger!
WOW! Just look at what an impact these white ornaments make on my artificial Christmas tree! The best part is that literally cost me pennies to make.

Thanks so much to taking the time to browse around my blog and for leaving me a lovely comment! I really appreciate you! Merry Christmas!
Great idea! But my comment is about the dessert glass you used for the weight — I have some glasses just like those!!!
They’re my mum’s from ‘way long ago. There were two sizes (the short stout one and a taller version) and I believe they were a peanut butter container campaign back in the late 60s or early 70s?
My mum handed them off to me long ago and I still make pudding in them, just as we did in my youth.
Okay. Sorry for the left-field comment. 🙂
Oh how I love that you shared this with me! The glass you noticed was given to me from my grandmother and I have a set of four. I love that they are from a peanut butter campaign ~ I’m running with that awesome story! Merry Christmas!
