Yay! It’s finally December and the Christmas decorations are out in full force.
I love driving through our neighborhood during the holidays peeking inside homes to see brightly lit Christmas trees. Today you can do a little bit of Christmas decor spying from the comfort of your living room with A Very Merry Christmas Tour!
I am joining 30 of my favorite creative bloggers to share our Christmas homes with you throughout this week. You can check out today’s home tours at the bottom of this post and see all 30 homes right here.
Welcome to our Christmas Home Tour! I’ve been decorating for weeks and can’t wait to show you our bright and cheery Christmas decorations.
Raise your hand if you can’t bare to toss precious cards from family and friends you get each Christmas. Yep, me too!
Instead of collecting those smiling faces and sentimental words in a basket, I created an entire Christmas card gallery wall to show off those I love. Our foyer is the perfect spot for displaying these colorful cards.
I can’t wait for the mailbox to fill with this year’s Christmas cards!
Tucked underneath the small tree are a few of the children’s favorite Christmas friends. Little Boy thought Mickey Mouse needed a ride in Santa’s sleigh. Little does he know that we will be riding with Mickey in real life very soon! {Click here} to enter our Disney inspired giveaway.
The kitchen hutch is filled with a thrift store Christmas tree decorated with many treasures from my grandmother. Last year she gave me a small box with sweet handmade felt ornaments. I couldn’t wait to unpack them this season.
My grandmother creates hand crafted gifts for each of her grandchildren. I can picture her sitting at the kitchen table working diligently on the little ornaments. These colorful pieces make my heart happy each time I walk by.
While the felt ornaments make my heart happy this Santa picture of the boys gives me the giggles. It took years for us to have a decent Santa picture without one of the children screaming their heads off.
If you haven’t figured it out yet I adore color. Christmas decorating inspires me to pull out all the stops to add bright and cheery Christmas decor everywhere. The living room mantel is no exception!
The children love helping to place the snowmen, elf, and gingerbread man. Large handmade felt ornaments and bows fill in the wreath and garland.
Our Christmas tree is a family tree brimming with fragile keepsake ornaments and paper ornaments made by chubby toddler hands. There is a story attached to each one that we love to retell as we decorate the tree.
Thanks so much for stopping by our Christmas Home Tour! Wishing you a Christmas that’s filled with love!
I bet you want to see the front porch, don’t you? {Click here} to see our Bright and Cheery wrap around front porch!
