My children adore Halloween.
Wait a minute. Let me take that back. My boy children adore Halloween.
Last year Tootsie was so traumatized by the animated decorations at Lowe’s and Cracker Barrel that we could barely drive by without screams of “Scay-wee Bad Witch!”
She ran screaming into the other room when I revealed the huge black and purple spider I bought last week. But I thought it would be perfect for a kid-made spider web for the front porch.
This Halloween decoration was a easy as they come.
It’s simply yarn wound between push pins to create a giant spider web.
The boys needed a little help with the top of the web but after I explained what we were doing they did very well.
Big Boy says we need more spiders but Tootsie is still a little worried about that one big spider.
Those red beady eyes are creepy!
I have high hopes that the Sofia the First Costume she has been wearing since her smashing birthday party will sway her into trick-or-treating this year.
Hope you are inspired by our Spooky Outdoor Fun!

Very cute, and we have a big spider! Thanks
Thank so much for stopping by Stephanie! The boys really want more spiders to add to their web. Guess I’ll be headed back to Walmart for more this week.
Take care!
Ashley
I love to think of ways to get the kids involved with the decorating! Great idea! 🙂 Thanks for linking up at the “Get Your DIY On” link up party! Hope to see you back on Sunday with your best pumpkin posts!
Hey April! Thanks for your sweet note. I’ve got to get on my “pumpkin” project!
Love the spiderweb! I want to make one tomorrow with my kids if I have time. I will post it on my blog on Monday with our party recap if I do! Thanks for the great idea! Charlie @pickledokra.blogspot.com
Thanks so much Charlie!
