Searching for unique and super cool gift ideas for game playing boys? Today I’m sharing Gameband for Minecraft. It’s an awesome tool that allows portable Minecraft playing!
If you have been following this blog for long you probably know that 2 of the 3 Little Greenwoods are boys. One of those boys is still young enough to be easy to buy for when Christmas rolls around. But our ten year old? He is getting a bit tricky!
As I brainstorm ideas of gifts for him I keep coming back to one thing he really loves: Minecraft!
That’s why gifting Gameband for the Minecraft™ fan in our family is the perfect gift for my gamer on the go!#GameOnTheGo
Our oldest has actually been playing Minecraft for years now. He enjoys modifying his character’s skins, mining for diamonds, and watching out for Creepers. He has worked hard on building his Minecraft world. Thanks to the Gameband he is able to take all his hard work with him when he visits friends.
Gameband is the hot item for this year’s holiday season and year round giving!
I purchased our Gameband for Minecraft at our local GameStop.
The band can be found in the mobile gaming section of GameStop. If you cannot find it in the store, please ask an employee for help. They may be storing them behind the counter.
Here’s how the Gameband for Minecraft works:
- Plug Gameband into the USB port of your computer
- Open the Gameband App and play Minecraft just like normal
- Backup your work to Gameband’s secure servers
- Wear Gameband to your next #GameOnThe Go playdate
- The USB can be easily recharged! {my favorite part}
- It’s splash proof too! {just in case he actually remembers to wash his hands}
Not only does the Gameband allow him to take his Minecraft worlds with him, the PixelFurnace tool lets him customize the Gameband to make it his.
The Gameband comes in two sizes: small (6.7″) and large (7.2″). Its soft rubber coating is very comfortable to wear. It also displays the date, time, and amount of storage left.
Big Boy loves that he has received the first-ever Minecraft wearable. He thinks the date and time display is the coolest and wants to wear it to school.
Just so he can tell the time, of course. It has nothing to do with how cool this gaming tool is. {eye roll}
Please note that Gameband belongs to Now Computing and is affiliated with Minecraft. If anyone has any feedback regarding Gameband they should reach out to Now Computing.
Online gaming is here to stay! Creating a healthy schedule for playing online games is important. Choosing those games is even more important. That’s why our family loves Minecraft. It allows our 10 year old son to engage in imaginative play as he build worlds and creates characters without the violence found in many video games.
The great thing is our boys love to play Minecraft together. I love listening to them discuss the crops they have planted and gold they have collected.
Our Big Boy loves Minecraft so much that he begged to have a Minecraft Birthday Party several years ago. Complete with a Ghast Pinata and a Creeper Cake! See the entire party post {here}.
Go to the Gameband Minecraft website to learn more. You can also check out #GameOnTheGo on Twitter to see how others are loving being able to take their Minecraft worlds with them.

So I’ve got to ask… have your children talked you into playing Minecraft with them yet? I played with the boys once and got chased down by a Creeper!
I hope we have given you gift giving inspiration for the Minecrafter lover in your life. This holiday season give the #GameOnTheGo with the Gameband for Minecraft!

Oh my gosh Ashley! This is the coolest boy present! I even know some grown-up boys who would love this one. Love that you did a Minecraft party too.
I am so glad to see this post, and learn more about this. My son wants this so I’m sending it my hubby now. My son is 9. He’s addicted to the game, but I think it’s an OK game.
This looks amazing!
Oh Goodness, I am not sure this would be a good thing in my house. My son would maybe go too crazy for it! LOL
The boys so LOVE it! Thanks so much for the comment love!

I love it – and I love that he wants to wear his Gameband to school with him. JUST for the watch part, of course. Good news that it’s pretty durable and isn’t about to fall off, right? 😉 #client
Yes, the Gameband is very durable and fits him well. Especially when he wants to show off at school! 🙂

My cousin, though an adult, is a huge gamer. I always struggle on what I should get him. This would be absolutely perfect.
