The night before Snow-mageddon was scheduled to hit my part of the south Big Boy solemnly said, “Ya know, Mama. What would be really bad? If you were really sick on a snow day. Yeah. That would be the worst.”
The next morning we awoke to a winter wonderland. Wishes do come true!
The children were thrilled at the rare treat of snow! Big Boy was excited but check out the look on Tootsie’s face.
All the boys wanted to do was sled down the backyard hills. But nothing we found would work. Luckily one of our best buddies had the perfect sled for us to borrow!
Turns out that little bitty circle sled can hold a Mama too. A Mama that went crazy fast down the steep hill screaming her head off!
Such a shame you will never see there aren’t any pictures of that.
After a full day of snow playing everyone warmed up with warm fires and hot chocolate.
If you are in the usually sunny South like me I hope you enjoyed your rare Snow Day!
If you happen to be knee deep in your second round of Snow-mageddon, I am so sorry. I cannot imagine dealing with the icy roads, below freezing temps, and piles of wet clothes for weeks on end.
I link up with these fun parties!
We have had so much snow and frigid temps! I am so happy you have snow. We are getting more tonight! They are saying 5″! No more snow for us please! 😉
Oh my boys would LOVE 5 more inches of snow! Me? I’m still digging out from the pile of wet clothes they wore. :/
Love your snowy pics. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Tootsie’s facial expression cracks me up! She was crying for “napkins”!
Hi Ashley! We definitely enjoyed our southern snow day. So glad you did, too!
My littles are still hoping it’s going to snow again!

Thanks so much for stopping by and following! I am hopping over to your blog now. 😉
Hooray for snow! We’ve had a couple of dustings this winter (in northern Oklahoma) but nothing big. Might get 1-3 inches tomorrow night though – my daughter would be happy. Love seeing your pictures.
Thanks so much for visiting! I’d love if you would following along! 😉
Looks like you had one of those perfect snow days. We’ve had plenty of those here in Toronto, and at this point, winter is starting to feel a bit long!
Our children had the best time playing in the snow! Snow in South Carolina is a holiday for us!
