How to Make Surprise Snowballs
Step One: Create the snowball’s center
Begin the snowball by creating a center using a small kids party favor. Tape one end of the streamer to the small item and wrap it completely several times. Pull the streamer tightly as you go around.
Some of my favorite snowball starters are Christmas stampers and small Christmas pinball games.
Step Two: Add more surprises and keep rolling!
Add small Christmas erasers, small pieces of candy, and Christmas stickers as you go. Pull the streamers to snuggly secure the surprises.
All you have to do is wrap, wrap, wrap – add a surprise. Wrap, wrap, wrap – add a surprise. Keep going until you have 4-5 surprises wrapped into a snowball.
Step Three: Secure with Tape
Once the snowball contains as many small items as you would like, simply secure the end of the white streamer with a small piece of tape.
Step Four: Give as a gift and watch the fun unroll!
This DIY Christmas Gifts for Kids idea is so simple my boys even made a few for their cousins and best buddies.
Surprise Snowballs would be a great Christmas party activity for older children. After the students made the snowballs they could trade with their classmates for a fun and easy gift!
