Cue the Hallelujah Choir – It’s Back to School!

My two boys have swam in half the pools in our neighborhood, wrestled on the couch for days, and eaten more food than I ever thought possible. We painted trampolines and kid friendly art work, pretended to be professional secret agents and created tons of pre-Christmas crafts.

Whew! I’m one worn out Mama.

But now… sing it with me! It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

My deepest sympathies to my best teaching buddies out there. May you have the a class full of kind hearted, helpful, QUIET little children.

Want to know a sure fire way to guarantee your child’s school year gets off to a great start?

It’s easy.

Be nice to their teachers.

If their teachers ask for hand sanitizer, Kleenex, and baggies, send it in.

I promise they are not going to hoard the supplies all for themselves. They will sanitize each pair of hands when flu season hits. Many will wipe runny noses. And all those baggies will be used to collect projects your child will be working on.

Here’s a simple, fun way to send in those extra supplies.

I tucked a few extra goodies. Back to School Supplies @3littlegreenwoods

Best of all, there’s a chocolate surprise hidden in the sticks of dynamite. Back to School Supplies @3littlegreenwoods

The containers are recycled Back To School shoe boxes wrapped in heavy wrapping paper left over from my dining room redo.

Make the fun dynamite sticks by simply taping 3 snack sized candy bars on a piece of on construction paper and rolled it up. Back to School Supplies @3littlegreenwoods

Curl a pipe cleaner around a pencil then hot glue it to the top of the dynamite for a flame. Bundle the dynamite with a strip of yellow card stock. Back to School Supplies @3littlegreenwoods

Fun. Easy. And a whole lot cuter than a plastic Target bag. 😉Back to School Supplies @3littlegreenwoods

Now I’m off to tape 4th grade spelling words all over the kitchen. Maybe if Big Boy reads and spells them each time he opens the fridge and a cabinet something will stick.

Anyone out there have some magic tricks for studying spelling words?
